Time for repairs – town clock to keep ticking

Ticked off that the town clock never seems to display the right time?

The art deco clock, built in 1937 as part of the original Goondiwindi Civic Centre, has understandably worn out over the decades – as a result the crown wheel in the turret drive has deteriorated and needs to be fixed.

And, just like a vintage car, spare parts can be hard to come by, so a new turret drive has to be sourced.

The turret drive will be imported from Italy and will take a few weeks to arrive – once it does the clock will be repaired in no time, so watch out!
