A round up of the Careflight Golf Day in Texas last weekend where a huge $4,000 was raised to support the vital service.
Take a look at the photos and check out the report from the Texas Golf Club:
On the 21st of March the Texas Golf Club held their annual RACQ Careflight Golf Day.
The 3 person Ambrose event attracted a massive field of 104 players and raised $4,000 to support this fantastic service.
Many of the competitors were visitors who were returning to enjoy the great course, friendly atmosphere and challenge for the wonderful prizes on offer.
Once again the competitors vied for over $4000.00 in prizes only made possible by the exceptional support of our major sponsors IOR Energy Pty Ltd, Freedom Fuels, Royal Precision Lubricants, Supercharge Batteries and Potters Petroleum.
Brad and Terri Potter can be rightfully proud of how this event has developed into one of the major events on the Texas Golf Club calendar and the amount of money it has raised for Careflight.
This year saw a strong contingent of players from Tenterfield, Ashford and Emmaville Golf Clubs.
The gross winners took home a television each with a great score of 39, which is 7 under par, were W. Simpkins, D. Holley and E. Reibelt.
The nett winners winning an I-pad mini each with a score of 34.7 were I. Coventry, W. Ramsay and M. Henry. The prize rundown went to ninth place.
Over $1100.00 was raised through the raffle of a number of RACQ bears and other donated prizes along with $500 from the Team N.T.P. Par 3 Challenge.
RACQ Careflight is a vital service that can and does make a major difference to the health outcomes of our residents.
The Texas Golf Club would like to thank everyone for their support and is proud to be able to contribute in some way to the continued operation of Careflight.
