82 players took to the course on Saturday in perfect golfing weather for the Annual RACQ Careflight Golf Day.
It’s a day many look forward to and one that certainly didn’t disappoint.
Between the joking, jeering and friendly rivalries players showed off their skills with some excellent form.
And it certainly showed in the close winning margins.
Gross winners on the day, Scott Hayward, Marya Hayward and Terri Potter, took out the title with 41 points…just one point ahead of second place.
In the nett competition, winners were Shannon Teese, Nicholas Teese and Jess Britt-Keen with a score of 34.56.
Thanks to the generosity of donors, each member of the teams won a television in the gross category and a camera in the nett.
Major sponsors were IOR Energy Pty Ltd, Freedom Fuels, Royal Precision Lubricants, Supercharge Batteries and Potters Petroleum…with donations of combined value more than $4000.
Brad and Terri Potter were recognised for their contribution to the event and dedication to making it one of the major events on the Texas Golf Club calendar.
That’s not to mention the thousands of dollars they have helped to raise towards RACQ Careflight over the years.
All can agree, it’s a vital service and makes a huge difference to the health outcomes of all those through town.
The Texas Golf Club passes on their thanks to everyone for their support and says they are proud to be able to contribute in some way to the continued operation of Careflight.
