If you have a taste for things sweet, or even if you don’t, the Queensland Cancer Council and Heart Foundation wants to hear from you.
They’ve joined forces to conduct a state-wide survey asking us to tell them what we think about sugar-sweetened beverages.
The Everyday Health Survey: Sugar-Sweetened Beverages has been launched to identify consumer habits, determine understanding of the health impacts of sugary drinks, and assess support for proposed regulations.
Cancer Council Queensland CEO Ms Chris McMillan says regulations being examined include marketing restrictions and a 20% levy on some products.
“We encourage people right across the state to have their say to help health organisations develop new campaigns and advocate for laws that will positively impact the health of Queenslanders.”
The survey can be accessed at www.cancerqld.org.au/ everydayhealthsurvey up until the end of this month.
