QRRRWN- Woman of the Year Award

Not one- But TWO Awards for Charleville Senior Constable Sarah Grayson who has been bestowed with the Queensland Rural Regional and Remote Womens Network Peak Awards.

Sarah has taken out both the Woman of the Year Award and Professional Woman of the Year Award at the organization GALA Dinner held in Emerald.

The Charleville based Senior Constable moved to Australia 11 years ago after growing up and working as a Police Officer in England for some 15 years.

She worked in Brisbane before moving to the remote indigenous community of Aurukun ahead of her move to the South West.

Sarah says the wins are a humbling experience for her.

“It’s not that you go and do things to receive accolades, but it is nice to see that things are being acknowledged that we do work hard out here in the bush. Snr Constable Grayson has two children, Theo, 11, and Elleigh, 6.
