The Goondiwindi Regional Council election is postal, which means we won’t have polling booths open on polling day.
Residents will receive their voting ballots in the mail, which need to be filled out and then posted back. Voting in the election is compulsory and must be completed by 6pm on polling day – Saturday March 19 to avoid being fined.
The ballot papers need to be received by our Returning Officer by Tuesday March 29.
If you haven’t received your ballot papers in the mail, or if yours has been accidentally defaced or destroyed, you can easily apply for a new one by completing a declaration form.
You can find the declaration form at www.ecq.qld.gov.au or calling 1300 881 665 ( 9am-5pm Mon-Fri)
