Junior cricket club play in pink for great cause

Sunday 21st February is Pink Stumps Day, raising money for the McGrath Foundation.

The Goondiwindi Junior Cricket Club will don their best hues of pink and play against teams from St George to help raise money to place Breast Care Nurses into the communities.

Currently Goondiwindi does not have a Breast Care Nurse. Goondiwindi Cricket Club secretary Susie Kelly says it would be a welcome addition to the community. “We have a lot of women who continue to struggle with breast cancer” she says.

There are even prizes for those who sport the best pink outfits.

Around 60 kids are expected to attend, with three matches being played at Redmond Oval from 9am.

Everyone is welcome to attend and donate to this great cause – so rummage through your wardrobe and get out your finest pink!
