Say goodbye to the concerns about the condition of the Inglewood Pool with a serious facelift and refurb. now on the way.
Council’s Sport and Recreation Portfolio Representative, Councillor Lachlan Brenan says the work will now be carried out, thanks to $378,789 in funding council has bene granted as part of the State Government’s “Get Playing Plus” program.
Councillor Brennan says there’s been concerns for some time with the condition of the existing facilities with some serious structural issues beginning to present themselves.
“This project will see the demolition of the existing facilities and new toilet, change rooms, kiosk and storage areas to support swimming in the area,” he said.
“Council expects to be advertising the contract for the works later this year with a view to starting at the end of the swimming season in 2017,” Councillor Brennan said.
The funding remains conditional upon Council finalising some administrative processes which should be completed by the end of July.
