Competition is heating up as Goondiwindi locals prepare to run hell…of the west that is.
Eager athletes this weekend took to the pool, road and track and proved you could break personal bests no matter how many big your bike is.
The annual triathlon event is one of the toughest in Australia and sees competitors from across the country flock to town for the 2k swim, 80k cycle and 20k run.
Mini triathlons like this give competitors just a glimpse of the course and are a great chance to track their progress.
Participants can take part as a team and do individual legs or give the whole thing a go!
Families are invited to bring along their prams or bike seats and get even the little ones involved.
While these practices may not be quite as hellish as the main event, they’re certainly a great way to get the whole family moving.
