A round up of Police activity from around the region in the past week:
On the night of July 23, a vehicle was stolen from the carpark near the Railway Hotel. The extra cab utility was located at Toomelah Mission later the next day.
Goondiwindi Police urge the public to be aware of locking their vehicle and making sure they don’t leave their keys or anything of value in plain view within the vehicle.
Moffat Street Search
Police from Goondiwindi conducted a search warrant at an address on Moffatt Street Goondiwindi on July 23.
It will be alleged that as a result of the search warrant a 33-year-old Goondiwindi woman was charged with a total of ten offences relating to drugs, including that of supplying dangerous drugs.
Bungunya Breath Test
On the afternoon of July 24, Talwood Police intercepted a vehicle travelling west bound on the Barwon Highway at Bungunya.
It will be alleged that the 55-year-old Bungunya man returned a positive roadside breath test.
Back at the Goondiwindi Police Station the driver again provided a high range result and was issued with a Notice to Appear at the Goondiwindi Magistrates Court on August 19.
The driver also did not have a licence at the time.
Drug related items found in town
On the evening of July 24 Goondiwindi Police intercepted a vehicle. As a result of Police inquiries with the driver a search of the vehicle was conducted where allegedly a drug related item was located and seized.
A 33-year-old Goondiwindi woman was charged with one drug related offence and will face court on the 19th August 2015.
On the night of July 24 Goondiwindi Police arrested a 26-year-old Goondiwindi man for allegedly committing a Public Nuisance offence on Herbert Street.
The man was transported to the Goondiwindi Police Station and was released on bail to attend Goondiwindi Magistrates Court on August 19.
Related to this incident, was a 38-year-old Goondiwindi man who trespassed within the grounds of the Goondiwindi Police Station.
It will be alleged that the man did not leave when asked and was subsequently issued with an infringement notice for trespassing.
Unlicensed driving on the Gore Hwy
On the morning of July 25 Goondiwindi Police attended a single vehicle traffic accident on the Gore Highway approximately 60km east of Goondiwindi. The 21-year-old woman was not injured in the accident, however the female driver did not have a licence and was subsequently issued with a Notice to Appear before the Goondiwindi Magistrates Court on August 19 for unlicensed driving.
