Fire engulfs Inglewood delivery van

Fire and police responded within minutes when a delivery van caught fire on Slack St in Inglewood around 6.30pm this evening.

Local property owner, Ben Eisel, was making his first delivery of organic grain-fed beef when an alert neighbour pointed out flames emerging from under his vehicle.

Mr Eisel fled the van to safety and local police and fire services arrived at the scene within ten minutes of being contacted by neighbours.

The blaze was quickly contained thanks to a fast response from all parties, however the vehicle and its contents were destroyed in the fire.

The cause of the fire is currently being investigated by authorities.

The incident marks an unfortunate start for Mr Eisel’s fledgling meat delivery business, but luckily no one was harmed in the accident.
