Charges Laid Against Puppy Farm Operator

pup-farm-2A 40-year-old man will appear in the Goondiwindi Magistrates Court in May to face more than 200 animal welfare offences following that raid on a puppy farm raid near Yelarbon which uncovered more than 80 animals.

Haris Ljuhar is facing 215 animal welfare-related offences after RSPCA inspectors and police raided the Glenarbon property and seized 81 dogs and puppies and 10 cats from the farm.

Police say it will be alleged the conditions of the property were “appalling.”

The seized animals were transferred them to RSPCA’s Queensland headquarters at Wacol, and more than 50 of them have now been re-homed.
