Supply of Dangerous Drugs

On the 23rd February Police from the Goondiwindi Police Station executed a search warrant on a Herbert Street Goondiwindi address. Police located two males aged 19 and 20 that resided at the address. The 19 year old male was charged with the supply of dangerous drugs and possessing anything used in the commission of an offence. The 19 year old was remanded in custody to appear in the Goondiwindi Magistrates Court on the 8th March.

 

Vehicle Set Alight

During the early hours of the 22nd February a vehicle was set alight at the Goondiwindi Town Common. Goondiwindi Police are still continuing their investigation in to the incident and urge anyone with information to please contact Goondiwindi Police on 4671 7777.

 

Driving an Unregistered Vehicle

On the 24th February Goondiwindi Police spoke to a 19 year old male of a Goondiwindi address regarding his driving of a motor vehicle. Police established that the 19 year old male had driven whilst his licence was court disqualified in a vehicle that was not registered. The male driver was charged to appear in the Goondiwindi Magistrates Court on the 9th March for driving whilst on a disqualified licence and driving an unregistered vehicle.

 

Stolen Fridge

During the night of the 24th February an Engel fridge was removed from the back of a vehicle in Darling Street Goondiwindi. Police are continuing their investigation and urge anyone that may have information to contact local Police on 4671 7777.

 

Vehicle Interception

On the 26th February Police intercepted a vehicle on Marshall Street Goondiwindi. Police spoke to a 24 year old female of a Goondiwindi address and subsequent checks of the drivers licence status revealed that she was demerit point suspended. The driver was issued with a Notice to Appear before the Goondiwindi Magistrates Court for the matter on the 9th March.

 

Vehicle Interception

On the 26th February Goondiwindi Road Policing Unit intercepted a vehicle on the Cunningham Highway at Goondiwindi. Police spoke to a 32 year old male driver of a Kelso address. A subsequent search of the vehicle located a drug utensil. The male driver was issued with a Notice to Appear for possess drug utensil and to appear in the Goondiwindi Magistrates Court on the 9th March.

 

Assault

At about midnight on the 27th February Goondiwindi Police were altered to persons fighting at an address in Herbert Street Goondiwindi. At the location Police separated two male persons fighting and after doing so one of the male persons has struck a Police officer. The 23 year old male of the address was arrested and issued with a Notice to Appear in the Goondiwindi Magistrates Court on the 9th March for assault Police.

 

Break and Enter

During the night of the 26th February a business in Lagoon Street Goondiwindi was subject to a break and enter. Police state that in the break several doors have been damaged and at present it is unsure if any property was taken. Police are continuing their investigation and urge anyone with information regarding the break to contact Police on 4671 7777.

 

Stolen Property

Goondiwindi Detectives charged and cautioned a juvenile offender for the stealing of four push bikes from Brook Street Goondiwindi. The push bikes were stolen during the night of the 26th February and inquiries by Detectives resulted in a juvenile offender being located and subject to Police action.
